OS/2 Warp 4.x Workstation v3.00 IBM OS/2* Warp 4.x Workstation Installation Notes for Intel's EtherExpress(TM) PRO/10 ISA LAN Adapter ============================================================= Location of Driver: \NDIS\EPRO.OS2 GENERAL INSTALLATION -------------------- 1 Install OS/2 Warp 4.0 using the "Easy Installation" option as instructed in the IBM installation guide. 2 In the Type of Activity window, select "Connect directly to LAN" and click NEXT. 3 In the File and Print Client window, select "Install File and Print Client" and click NEXT. 4 In the Specify Workstation Name window, enter a unique workstation name and description for your computer and click NEXT. 5 In the Domain Name window, enter in the name of your domain. If you do not have an existing domain name to use, use the default IBMPEERS and click NEXT. 6 In the Default User ID and Password window, specify your User ID and password. Click NEXT. 7 In the Novell NetWare Client for OS/2 window, select "Yes, install" if you are connecting to a Novell NetWare file server. Click NEXT. 8 In the TCP/IP Services window, select "Yes, install LAN and Modem support" if you need TCP/IP services. Click NEXT. Note: If you install TCP/IP services you will prompted for the following information: TCP/IP address, subnet mask, router IP address, domain name, host name, name server, and if network supports DHCP or DDNS. 9 In the Change Adapter window, click "Other Adapter". 10 When prompted for the driver in the Network Adapter Driver Diskette window, insert the EtherExpress PRO/10 ISA driver disk into drive A: and specify the path as A:\NDIS. 11 From the Driver Found window, select the "EtherExpress PRO/10 ISA Adapter", click on "Ethernet", and then click OK. OS/2 Warp will then copy the driver and add it to the LAN adapter list. 12 From the Adapter Confirmation window, the "EtherExpress PRO/10 ISA Adapter" should be listed, click NEXT. 13 From the ISA Network Adapter Software Configuration window, select "No, hardware setting were not changed" and click NEXT. 14 From the Ready to Install window, click INSTALL. 15 Continue with the OS/2 Warp 4.0 installation as instructed in the IBM installation guide. * Third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
